You may find it helpful to see how I work by looking at these photographs. They were taken over four consecutive days during the painting of a family group.

They show how my painting develops rapidly in front of my sitters. I then complete the painting in my studio away from the subject.

In this case the last photograph shows the family standing in front of their portrait at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition.
